Humble Market Kitchin is reminiscent of Chef Roy Yamaguchi's family roots, which started on the plantations in Maui. Roy's grandfather, Rokuro Yamaguchi, was a trailblazer himself who immigrated to Hawaii to work on the plantations and later opened the Yamaguchi Store and several tavern-like restaurants in Kihei and Wailuku. Yamaguchi will capture the sweet and savory flavors he recalls from his childhood - showcasing an array of dishes that feature the scale of vibrant flavors.
