Known as "the best little war house in Kennesaw," Wildman's Civil War Surplus is aptly named. The exterior of the store, covered with a bumper stickers and signs proclaiming the supremacy of the south, is just the beginning. Inside, the store is crowded with artifacts and memorabilia of a bygone era, giving the dim interior a musty, aged smell. Paintings of Civil War soldiers cover the walls, and belt buckles and bullet casings are showcased in a glass case. The store also carries items pertaining to World Wars I and II. Founded by Dent Myers in 1973, Wildman's has become a novelty for tourists, who come to photograph the exterior and poke through the towers of relics.
