Founded in 1998, West Chatham Middle School serves more than 900 students in grades six through eight. It is a part of Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. West Chatham Middle School s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. It supports a variety of sports activities, such as football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, soccer, and track and field. The school operates various student organizations, including the National Junior Honor Society, a student council, and technology, tennis, science and chess clubs. West Chatham Middle School has a media center that offers a collection of books, periodicals and research materials.
