Welcome to Oaks Baptist Church. We are an intergenerational fellowship of believers committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the centrality of Holy Scripture in teaching and worship, and the sharing of God's love from Lyons to the furthest reaches of the globe. We are a traditional Baptist church because we value the historic, cherished principles of the Baptist tradition such as religious liberty, the priesthood of believers, local church autonomy, and the authority of the Bible for faith and practice. We are also traditional because of our worship style. The singing of hymns is a central aspect of our worship. We are also led in worship by our choir, piano and organ. The message proclaimed here is one of grace instead of judgment, forgiveness instead of condemnation. The resounding message preached from the pulpit, and from the people is that God loves all people.
