The Blood and Marrow Transplant Group of Georgia offers clinical transplant programs in the Southeast and serves patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplant therapy and also provides primary leukemia treatment. It provides services seven days a week, 24 hours a day and provides patients with team-based care that includes psychologists, pharmacists, nutritionists and physical therapists. Its physicians manage the clinical care of patients in the hospital and in the outpatient setting and develop clinical treatment protocols and treatment plans. The group provides treatment for acute myelogeneous leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, amyloidosis, anaplastic lymphoblastic lymphoma, aplastic anemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, hereditary hemoglobinopathies and Hodgkin s disease. It additionally offers autologous stem cell, related and unrelated allogeneic and haploidentical stem cell, cord blood, nonmyeloablative and reduced intensity stem cell transplants. Its research initiatives and collaborations provide access to drugs, biologics and cellular therapies to patients.
