Thomas County Federal Savings was organized in 1934 and chartered in 1937 by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. The bank was chartered as a mutual savings and loan association, owned by the depositors. This is still the organizational structure of the bank, 100 percent owned by its depositors. Its main objectives are to provide affordable housing to the residents of Thomas County and the surrounding counties, and to furnish them with a safe environment in which to save their money with a competitive return.
