Walton High School
Founded in 1975, George Walton High School offers an extensive academic curriculum for students in grades nine through 12. The school is located in Marietta, Ga., and has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students. It is governed by the Cobb County School District and the subjects offered include English, mathematics, science, social studies, business and information technology, fine and media arts, foreign languages, special education and health and physical education classes. Its fine arts department offers band, orchestra and chorus lessons. The school offers various clubs and organization for the students, including beta, chess, foreign languages and environment clubs, debate team, Asian culture clubs, academic bowl, Amnesty International, the Future Business Leaders of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. George Walton High School also provides a variety of athletics activities that include baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, softball, lacrosse, tennis, wrestling, gymnastics, golf, swimming, cross country and track and field.
