Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) is an independent public development authority established in 1992 by the Georgia General Assembly. Working in collaboration with the local government and private sector, SDRA is dedicated to planning, developing, and promoting the greater downtown Savannah area, aiming to create a thriving community culture and a well-maintained physical environment.
SDRA presents the Golden Broom Award, recognizing businesses and organizations in downtown Savannah for their continuous efforts in beautifying the community through clean, well-maintained, and litter-free properties. Additionally, SDRA led the update of the city's 20-year Master Plan, known as Downtown Savannah 2033, which expands the boundaries of growth potential and considers the impact on the city's residents.
