Established in 1937, the Roswell Fire Department is a part of the City of Roswell in Georgia. The department is responsible for providing fire prevention and protection services for more than 80,000 residents of the city. It offers various public fire safety education programs for over 16,000 children and adults annually. The Roswell Fire Department conducts home fire safety inspections that review fire escape planning with homeowners, as well as tests proper smoke detector placement and testing procedures. The department operates operations, administration, logistics and fire prevention divisions. It additionally provides emergency medical services. The Roswell Fire Department is also responsible to handle structural fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and confined space and water rescues.
