Cliff Jensen in San Diego, CA and Bob Dykes in Savannah, GA. The name Jendyk was conceived by Cliff Jensen for a company he and Bob were planning to start. That company never formed and Bob asked Cliff if he could steal a simple T, Cliff had designed for a friend. Cliff gave his permission, and then Bob asked to steal the name Jendyk . Cliff laughed and said, You can have that too. Jendyk Co was started in 1971 to sell a simple spare tire lock for pick up trucks. Over the years we have created, and adapted, and improved locking devices for many automobile and truck applications. In 1999, Bob's son Allen, joined the business. When asked if his dad were going to retire, Allen said emphatically, He'd better not . Jendyk is here for the long haul. Sales of spare tire locks are made to pick-up truck dealers throughout the United States. The security devices ( glad hand locks, king pin locks, wheel nut locks, truck brake locks ) for tractor-trailers are sold through distributors/dealers.
