History
A growing need for primary care physicians and other clinicians in the South, generally, and Georgia, specifically, prompted Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), an institution with a 116-year tradition of training osteopathic physicians and other health practitioners, to build a branch campus in Suwanee in 2005. Today, PCOM Georgia thrives in Gwinnett County, located just 27 miles north of Atlanta. The 20-acre campus is the only branch of the College and boasts a 150,000-square-foot facility that houses a comprehensive, award-winning library, modern labs and classrooms. The College is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. PCOM School of Pharmacy's Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
