Sawnee School of Ballet is considered the premier ballet school in north Georgia. The school offers classes for students, pre-school through professional, in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern and musical theater. Students have gone on to receive scholarships to Ballet Magnificat, Belhaven University, the Joffrey School of Ballet and Breneau University. They have also been accepted into prestigious summer intensive programs such as The Rock, North Carolina School of Arts and the American Ballet Theatre. The school also makes significant cultural contributions to the community through the Sawnee Ballet Theatre, a non-profit performing company that presents full-length productions of the Nutcracker as well as a spring concert.
