Mio Yanagisawa, MD, received her undergraduate degree in Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. She then earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and completed her General Surgery residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. She is board certified in General Surgery. She then pursued further specialization through fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology through Emory University. Dr. Yanagisawa specializes in the surgical and multi-disciplinary management of breast cancer care. She is also trained in the treatment and management of benign breast conditions. She has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery and hidden scar and the aesthetic mastectomy surgical techniques. She is passionate about personalizing breast cancer care to the individual needs of the patient and caring for her patients in a wholistic approach. In her spare time, Dr. Yanagisawa enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, hiking, and SCUBA diving. Dr. Yanagisawa is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
