History
After leaving my employment as an Assistant District Attorney for the Enotah Judicial Circuit for private practice with another attorney, I was involved in a terrible one-vehicle accident when the car I was driving was blown off the road during a tropical storm. I was comatose and unconscious for approximately four months, and spent the better part of eight months re-learning how to walk and speak again, after which I returned to work. My partnership did not develop, and I have been largely self-employed as a practicing attorney since that time. Though it is indiscernible now, I suffered from a significant speech impediment after my accident, and could not readily find employment with another firm or for the State again. Therefore, I have worked for myself for the past several years - even maintaining charitable adoption work while employed as the Hall County Law Librarian for approximately two years.
Specialties
I am a general practice attorney, meaning that I am capable of, and willing to, engage in any aspect of legal practice. However, what I am most proficient at, and have the greatest experience in, is adoption litigation, as well as divorce and custody matters, and criminal defense. I also have significant experience in estate planning and administration, incorporation work, and collections law.
