Established in 1981, McIntosh High School is an educational facility that serves more than 1,700 students in grades 9 through 12. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as chemistry, biology, physics, psychology, Spanish and English. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school has received Georgia's Platinum Award in the highest performance category for outstanding student achievement. It offers special education classes for students with developmental disabilities. The school operates a media center that provides a variety of books.
