Lula Lake Land Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of lands within the Rock Creek watershed on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. Since its establishment in 1994, Lula Lake Land Trust has conserved over 12,000 acres of land, providing for the health and wellness of the environment and the community. Through conservation, education, and low-impact recreation, Lula Lake Land Trust aims to protect the natural and historic landscapes surrounding Rock Creek and its tributaries.
With a mission to preserve and educate, Lula Lake Land Trust treats Hemlock forests to combat the woolly adelgid infestation, engages students and community groups in learning about conservation and environmental changes, and offers recreational opportunities with over 60 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. As stewards of conservation lands, Lula Lake Land Trust continues to seek additional properties to protect and conserve within the Rock Creek and Bear Creek watersheds, working alongside other land trust partners in the region to ensure the preservation of the beautiful Chattanooga area.
