Imhotep Academy is a private learning institution that bares the name of a 27th century B.C. Egyptian architect, astrologer and physician. Imhotep, pronounced 'm-ho-tep', is located adjacent Morris Brown College at the Atlanta University Center. The academy serves students from pre-K through eighth grade and is accredited by The Georgia Accrediting Commission. Imhotep offers a variety of culturally enriching activities throughout the school year and extracurricular activities such as sports, fencing, robotics and after school clubs.
