Huntington Middle School, located in Warner Robins, Ga., is a part of Houston County Schools, and is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Established in 2003, it has an enrollment of more than 900, and offers classes from grades six through eight. It addresses the needs and interests of students during the transition between elementary and high school, and this approach to schooling is achieved through courses in a variety of areas, flexible scheduling and an interdisciplinary curriculum. It facilitates the use of technologies to support and enhance instructional methods to develop higher-level thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills. It covers core curricular areas, including English language arts, mathematics, social science and science. Huntington Middle School offers various sports, such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, track and cheerleading.
