Based in Roswell, Ga., High Meadows School serves students from grades three to eight. The school provides a hands-on, interdisciplinary approach to learning, a low student-teacher ratio and multiage classrooms. It offers a wide variety of cocurricular programs that include art, music, technology, environmental science, Spanish, library science and physical education. As a nonprofit organization, High Meadows School is governed by a board of directors elected for a three-year term by the High Meadows community. Representation on the board includes parents and head of schools. High Meadows School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, Southern Association of Independent Schools, Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools and the Georgia Independent School Association. The school was founded in 1973.
