Gwinnett Children's Shelter, is a private nonprofit organization that is governed by a board of directors. The shelter provides a wide range of services for abused and abandoned children of Gwinnett County in Georgia. It also serves children and youth who are removed from and cannot continue to live in their home environment due to neglect, deprivation and family dysfunction and disintegration. Gwinnett Children's Shelter is managed by the executive director and a specialized staff, including various therapists, instructors and counselors. Gwinnett Children's Shelter also has classroom paraprofessionals, counselors, and food service staff. The shelter also provides various services, including emergency shelter, life skills training, 24-hours, seven-days a week support, and family assessments. It is located in Buford, Ga.
