Republican Phil Gingrey represents Georgia's 11th District in the House of Representatives. Gingrey joined the House in 2003 and represents portions of Cobb, Cherokee and Gordon counties as well as all of Bartow, Chattooga, Floyd, Haralson, Paulding and Polk counties. He currently serves on the Committee on Energy and Commerce and several subcommittees. Gingrey, a native of Augusta, worked as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Marietta before serving on the Marietta City Board of Education, the Georgia Senate and eventually the U.S. House. He and his wife, Billie, have four children and 10 grandchildren and attend St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta.
