Margaret Fain Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school that has been part of the Adamsville community since 1927. It is named for Margaret Fain, a well-known and active Adamsville resident.
Fain is continuing to strive for excellence. It is one of two schools in the Atlanta Public School system that has made adequate yearly progress 11 consecutive times. Fain is also working to become a Georgia School of Excellence by 2013. The faculty has incorporated the First Move Chess Program in the second and third grade classrooms in order to enhance and improve math comprehension.
Extracurricular activities available at the school include Beta Club, Ladies of Distinction mentoring program, Girl Scouts, Arts Now Program, Wings of Eagles Dance Troupe and Champion Boys.
