Emory University School of Nursing, is a part of the Emory University and offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs and research on nursing practice and care. Emory University was founded at Oxford by the Methodist Church in 1836. The university focuses upon nine major academic divisions and has several centers for advanced study and various affiliated institutions. It also has the Emory College, a graduate school of arts and sciences and professional schools of medicine, theology, law, nursing, public health, and business. The school of nursing was founded in 1901 and is located in Atlanta. The school offers various baccalaureate, master s and doctoral programs to more than 300 students. Its undergraduate program focuses on preparing students for leadership roles and its master s graduates are eligible for certifications, such as nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and clinical nurse specialists. The schools doctoral program focuses on clinical research, health policy and outcomes, and ethics.
