Perhaps one of the most noticeable churches in Athens, Emmanuel Episcopal Church has been part of the city since 1843 and at its current location, at Prince Avenue and Pope Street, since 1893. The building is an English country church design that features granite blocks, Gothic arches and stained glass windows. The church hosts traditional Episcopal worship services and also takes a great interest in serving the city of Athens through several of its faith-based aid groups. Emmanuel Episcopal Church welcomes all to its programs and worship services (Sundays at 8:30am and 10:30am and Wednesdays at 5:30pm).
