Dr. Linton earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. She earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta where she graduated cum laude and a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., and a cardiology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Linton is also board-certified in general cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart of Dallas, Dr. Linton served as a critical care physician with WellStar Windy Hill Hospital and the Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital. She has training in invasive diagnostic procedures including left and right heart catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography. She is also skilled in a variety of cardiac imaging modalities including transthoracic echocardiography, cardiac CT angiography and vascular and nuclear imaging. Dr. Linton has been involved with several cardiology research projects and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Association of Black Cardiologists and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. She has an interest in preventative cardiology and women's health. She is actively involved in community outreach through mentoring, health screenings and heart health talks. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, running, yoga, reading and traveling.
