Douglas County has nearly 2,000 acres of park land and other recreational areas. Gary Dukes is the director of the department and Tracie Ivey is the recreation superintendent. The department includes the following recreational areas: Boundary Waters Aquatic Center; Deer Lick Park; Dog River Park; Fairplay Park; Bill Arp Park; Clinton Nature Preserve; Lithia Springs/Woodrow Wilson Park; Mt. Carmel Park; Post Road Park; Winston Park and the Woodie Fite Center.
