Alex and Yvonne Friedman have over 25 years of combined experience in the food service industry. Alex graduated in 1986 from Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Charleston, South Carolina and has worked in Savannah's finest restaurants including 45 South, Garibaldi's Cafe, IL Pasticcio, as well as the Marshwood Club and Plantation Club at The Landings on Skidaway Island. Yvonne, originally from Boeblingen, Germany, graduated in 1990 from the Bad Ueberkingen Hotel and Restaurant Business School. Afterward, she worked in fine hotels and restaurants in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Yvonne and Alex met in 1995, while both working at the Savannah Mariott Riverfront. In 1999, they opened Delightful Catering to share their American and European food and service philosophies with the Savannah community. Wedding Receptions: Our goal, whether the guest list is 25 to 250 or more, is to create an atmosphere that reflects the personality of each couple. We achieve this by helping the couple to select their food favorites, and presenting them in a way that makes everything look as delightful as it tastes. An outstanding Wedding Reception is the perfect THANK YOU for family and friends who have gathered to celebrate this union. Corporate Functions: We design all corporate functions to meet the needs of each customer. Black Tie Affairs, Deli Platters, Home Style Luncheons, or casual Low-Country Boils. You can count on us for any of your corporate catering needs: meetings, executive luncheons, company picnics, open houses, etc. Social Events: We cater special events such as theme parties, birthdays, surprise parties, reunions, Graduations, Christmas parties, Christenings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and any other event you can imagine.
