HistoryDART was formed by local residents looking to fill the artistic void in Doraville. We got our start at the Atlanta Cuban Club with an engaging art show that was embraced by the entire community. We knew we created something magical with that event and wanted to continue that artistic spirit. When the City Council approved a resolution giving Doraville Art the opportunity to utilize a municipal building in downtown, we finally had a permanent home. Our new art center not only holds art classes, but also features a gallery spotlighting local artists, bookable studio space (including a wet studio), a full kitchen for hosting cooking classes, and The Green Room - a space designed for quiet crafting and artist meetups. Our new center introduces the art-curious to creative expressions in everything from hands-on painting and tie dye to events with musical collaborations and theater performances. Art can be experienced no matter what your skill level or cultural background is. Gather with your friends and neighbors to create, share and enjoy.
