History
CM City opened its first store in Statesboro in 1987 under the name Curtis Mathis. Specializing in televisions, the store expanded to carry a full line of home furnishings. After changing its name to CM City, the store also began to offer rent-to-own options on all of its merchandise. In 1996, Statesboro newcomer Mitchell Hayes began working at CM City as its store manager. After he became a partner in the business, CM City opened stores in Vidalia, Claxton, Sylvania, Metter, Swainsboro and Hazlehurst. In 2011, Mitchell purchased the business which continues to serve the Southeast Georgia area.

CM City carries living room, bedroom and dining room groups, washers and dryers, refrigerators, ranges, freezers,Smart TVs, stereo systems, laptops, tablets, all-in-one computers and game systems. Seasonally we also offer air conditioning units, lawn mowers and outdoor grills.
