The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is operated by the National Park Service and was established by President Jimmy Carter. The area covers 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River with entrance points throughout. The park offers many amenities including fishing, boating, hiking and biking. The park also offers special events throughout the year, with a complete schedule online. The Paces Mill entrance and area also offers shaded picnic areas and 3.5 miles of trails.
