Chattahoochee Elementary School derives its name from the nearby Chattahoochee River. It is located on land that was once inhabited by the Cherokee Indians and later became part of the George Waters Plantation. A Gwinnett County Public School, Chattahoochee Elementary School belongs to the Duluth cluster of schools that uses the Wildcat as a mascot and purple as a school color. Other schools in the cluster include Berkeley Lake Elementary School, Chesney Elementary School, B.B. Harris Elementary School, Duluth Middle School and Duluth High School. Jeffrey Lee serves as the principal of Chattahoochee Elementary School.
