History
Dr. Tom Hight worked for 6 years as an internist in a cardiology practice at Wellstar in Marietta, GA, where he saw a higher-risk patient population compared to primary care. In the cardiology practice, many were having heart attacks and strokes with no obvious risk factors. That's where he started to ask hard questions about how these events might be prevented. Those questions served as the foundation for an aggressive prevention program, proven to get results. Half of women who survive a heart attack are dead within 5 years. 1 of 3 men die. We have a 100% survival rate. After 14 years in solo primary care, Dr. Hight closed his primary care practice to focus on identifying patients who are high risk and don't know it, and on successfully treating those who do. At CardioSound, we shrink your plaque so that your risk improves. You can see the results.
