History
For more than 65 years, West Georgia Eye Care Center has been serving the Columbus community with exceptional eye care. Dr. Floyd C. Jarrell, Jr. established the practice in 1951 as a solo practice. The clinic has since grown to become the area's largest multi-specialty eye care practice, with nine ophthalmologists, one optometrist and a staff of over 85 people. Among the sub-specialties represented in the practice are two cornea and refractive surgeons, a retina specialist, a glaucoma specialist, and an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon (all fellowship-trained and board-certified).
