Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia is affiliated with the national program of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. It offers five-core program areas including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. B&GC of Georgia, established in 1938, provides a range of after school programs for children and disadvantaged youth ages 6 through 18. The club, based in Macon, Ga., provides a range of prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and unplanned pregnancies. The youth also receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework help and mentoring.
