Since 1958, Beecher Hills Elementary has been a school where "everyone learns and grows."
The school's website boasts it has made adequate yearly progress for 10 consecutive years. Beecher is striving to surpass standards set by the Atlanta Public School System and the State of Georgia by 2011.
Beecher has instituted the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program with the goal of exposing its students to world cultures and preparing them for an increasingly international society. Students are also required to wear school uniforms.
School clubs include the Beta club, soccer club, math club and environmental club. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, basketball and a Men of Distinction mentoring group are also available.
