Aysha Khoury, MD, MPH, FACP, earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. She is an Internal Medicine specialist certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and recognized by the American College of Physicians. Dr. Khoury is also trained in Preventive Medicine and is deeply committed to adult wellness and wholeness. She hopes to help patients recognize the impact of mental health on physical well-being. She is a compassionate advocate for the health of marginalized communities – especially African American and LGBT health. Dr. Khoury’s family hails from the Caribbean, Middle East, and western Africa. Thus, she brings a respect for cultural ethnicity beyond race to her practice. She is a forthright communicator who seeks to partner with patients in their wellness goals. Dr. Khoury’s career has focused on hospital medicine and now, she brings that experience to primary care. Before joining Piedmont, Dr. Khoury was an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Khoury enjoys international travel, culture, history, reading, soccer, the Marvel Universe, and is a proud Gryffindor. Dr. Khoury welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
