Atlanta Metropolitan College began in the mid-1970s as Atlanta Junior College and became Atlanta Metropolitan College in 1988. Conveniently located near MARTA, the two-year college shares a 79-acre site with Atlanta Technical College on Metropolitan Parkway, just west of I-75/I-85.
The college offers more than 40 programs of study ranging from business and the humanities to math, science and social studies. In addition, students can join one of more than 18 special-interest clubs and leadership organizations.
Atlanta Metropolitan is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
