The Science Library of the University of Georgia was completed in 1968. It houses the university's life and physical science collections. Located at the rear of the Boyd Graduate Studies building, its holdings include more than 750,000 bound volumes and more than 3,000 print serials. The Science Library also provides access to approximately 19,000 full-text electronic journals. It also has one of the largest collections of maps in the United States. During your visit, be sure to see the skeleton of a giant ground sloth on display in the lobby. This behemoth was found buried in mud on the Georgia coast.
