Founded in 1923, United Way of the Mid-South is a social service and welfare organization. It provides nurturing environment for children; job skills for people who want to work; health care for seniors; food and shelter; and therapies. The organization offers several programs, including Day of Caring, American Humanics and Youth United Way. United Way of the Mid-South also has partnerships with nonprofit agencies. In addition, it provides volunteering services. The company operates a camping center that offers books, posters, photos and information forms. It serves various counties throughout the United States. United Way of the Mid-South is located in Memphis, Tenn.
