History
In 2009, sensing a lack of identifiable Christian counseling organizations in the South Florida community, Tova Kreps, LCSW and Christine Schlottman, LMHC launched Wellspring to fill that void. Today Wellspring still stands uniquely in this niche. The vision for Wellspring was to provide a safe place for Christians to get emotional help with qualified, professional, like-minded clinicians. The center would also be a place of healing for people of any faith or no faith. Beyond its home-church facility at Old Cutler Presbyterian, Wellspring now provides its services from seven different locations including churches of varying denominations. With more than two dozen therapists and an administrative support team, Wellspring has the diversity of skills and experience needed to offer services to any population or emotional problem. In addition, it passionately provides outreach training and counseling for those who have been traumatized and educates and supports leaders in ministry.
