The City of Tarpon Springs Fire Department provides fire and rescue services through emergency response, prevention activities, public education, code enforcement and outreach programs. It is a full-service public agency that has been serving the residents of Tarpon Springs, Fla., for more than 100 years. The department works with a team of more than 35 staff members, including firefighters and paramedics. The City of Tarpon Springs Fire Department serves more than 4,000 emergency situations annually. Its services include hazardous materials response, fire prevention, business inspections, and search and rescue. The department offers training services to the community in fire prevention, water safety and disaster preparedness. The City of Tarpon Springs Fire Department is operated by the city of Tarpon Springs, which additionally manages police, public services, library and administrative deparments.
