History
The Seminole County Tax Collector is an independent constitutional officer duly elected by the residents of Seminole County. The Tax Collector's office has various duties and responsibilities they provide the citizens of Seminole County. They direct, plan, organize, budget, set and implement policies which affect not only the local government but also reach the state level as well. Tax Collectors are elected for four-year terms at the general election held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November and every four years thereafter. Joel M. Greenberg was elected Seminole County Tax Collector in November 2016 and took office in January 2017. As an innovator and entrepreneur, Mr. Greenberg brings extensive experience in business and technology to the Seminole County Tax Collector's office.
