Quincy Annex, formerly known as Quincy Correctional Institution, teaches culinary skills to inmates. It provides public work squads to assist local counties. The center serves adult male inmates and operates various housing units. Quincy Annex also offers academic and vocational programs, as well as wellness education solutions. It provides library services and substance abuse programs. In addition, the center offers chapel, worship and religious education solutions. Quincy Annex is operated by the Florida Department of Corrections, which is one of the largest prison systems in the United States. It operates more than 130 facilities in Florida and maintains a staff of over 27,000 employees. The department protects the public safety and supervises offenders.
