Founded in 1990, Project Response is an HIV/AIDS service organization that provides case management services, prevention education and HIV testing options. The organization offers educational programs for youths, parents, educators, nonprofit agencies, adults and communities. It also works to prevent spread of the disease. Project Response serves more than 1,400 case management clients in Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties in Florida. The organization provides rent, mortgage, utilities and emergency financial assistance, as well as food pantry, insurance continuation and transportation services. It is funded through the Florida Department of Health, Allegany Franciscan Foundation and United Way of St. Lucie County. Project Response maintains a location in Fort Pierce, Fla.
