Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The 290,000-square-foot Orlando facility is one of the largest public library buildings in the state of Florida. Public reference departments in the library include genealogy, law, library central and reference centers. The children's library offers special programs, computers and story rooms. A computer resource center is located on the second floor and offers access to computers loaded with programs featuring word processing capabilities. The library also has a bookstore that recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community. The genealogy collection allows research into family history. The library also features audio books, informational and entertainment videos and DVDs, recorded music, world language materials, and magazines for leisure reading and research.
