In 2008, Pastor Rodger McFarland (who refers to his church as "post-denominational") and his congregation deviated from the Sunday morning church model in exchange for Saturday night (6pm) services. Along with the day and time change came a location change. Services on Saturday and Wednesday evenings are now held in the fellowship hall as opposed to the 300+ seat sanctuary.
The 'New Life Café' allows participants to experience the presence of God in a relaxed, placid, coffee house-style setting with dim lighting and round tables and yes – coffee pots. Child care is available for all service, allowing the adults to truly unwind. Post-service, attendees may gather for a family-style meal.
The sanctuary is currently available to rent out for weddings and specials events and the church will steer those profits towards the congregation's community projects and outreach missions.
