The Sanibel Police Department works to provide a safe and secure environment for the city residents and businesses. It operates operations and administrative services divisions. The department has a special services division that conducts follow-up and crime scene investigations, as well as supports the School Resource Officer Program. The Sanibel Police Department also provides fingerprinting, animal control, victim assistance and emergency preparedness services.
