West Area Adult School is a learning center that is a part of Polk County Public Schools. The school provides a variety of programs for students over 16 years of age. It offers English for Speakers of Other Languages and computer education programs to more than 770 students. The school also provides high school diploma programs and conducts classes that prepare students for GED exams. West Area Adult School s family literacy program includes child care for children between the ages of 2 and 5. The school also provides career-related guidance counseling and financial aid.
