The Monroe Association for Retarded Citizens, also known as MARC, is a nonprofit agency that provides care services for adults with various developmental disabilities, including cerebral palsy and spina bifida, as well as traumatic brain injuries. Founded in 1966, it offers adult day training services that include instructions in the areas of horticulture, money management, self-care, landscape maintenance, food service, and office and social skills. The Monroe Association for Retarded Citizens provides a range of medical and therapeutic supervision services. It offers supported living and residential long-term care and training services. The agency also provides transportation, respite care and supported employment services. In addition, it operates a store that sells a variety of plants and garden products. The Monroe Association for Retarded Citizens serves the residents of the Florida Keys.
