For almost 40 years Metropolitan Ministries has lent a helping hand to the hungry and homeless of the Tampa Bay Area. This charitable organization routinely puts together meals for citizens who cannot afford food.
Metropolitan Ministries is located between Tampa Street and North Florida Avenue, and it encompasses an entire block with different buildings and services for the needy. There is on-site living facilities available at the complex for single women and families who are homeless. Metropolitan Ministries also runs a thrift store directly across the street.
